I always begin working with every client with the end product in mind. Starting the portrait process means looking at what the end result will be, first. Where do you plan to display your portraits? What does your home design look like? What colors are you drawn to? Asking these questions at the start always results in an incredible session that gives you exactly what you dreamed of - a printed photographic treasure that defines your love story, and graces your walls with intention.
My work as a pet photographer combines two of my favorite subjects - animals and photography. Pets have always been present in my life, and their presence in my home and family has always been a source of great love and comfort for me, so I completely understand the affection that people have for their pets. Since they are with us for such a short time, I believe it’s really important to capture the memories we have with them, and the bonds we form with them. I have come to love capturing these moments with my camera, aiming to bring out each pet’s unique personality, and creating high-quality images that are beautiful, poignant and fun.

We'll meet either at the studio, a special outdoor location, or your home. Outdoor sessions always take place during that beautiful golden hour shortly before sunset.

You'll come to my home to view the images from your session and select your favorites for your home. Wall portraits, table top products, albums and books - all are archival quality artwork that will last a lifetime.

Booking a Session
The session fee covers my time at the session and a private viewing/ordering appointment at my home. It does not include any print or digital products.
The session fee is non-refundable. However, it can be used towards a future session within 6 months if you choose to cancel. The average client invests between $800 - $1500 in finished products.
The product pricing structure encourages clients to invest in printed art, as it is what's valued as the end result of your session, and the reason you would commission me. It's critical to remember that digital files are not a permanent way to archive your memories, as they are fragile and may not last, and hectic lives usually prevent people from printing their images from their digital negatives.
So while I do offer digital files, I will also print your art pieces. After all, why invest in professional portraiture if your images will sit indefinitely on a USB drive in a drawer? Print. It's worth it.

Knowing how much they enjoy the photos from their own session, many past clients inquire as to how they can purchase gift certificates for friends and family.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I bring more than one dog?
A: You sure can, but remember this is a 20-minute session, so we need to make the most of it. If you feel you'll need more time, please book two back-to-back sessions.
Q: Can I be in the photos as well?
A: Of course! If time allows, we can get a couple of photos with you and your baby :)
Q: When is the session fee due?
A: The session fee will be collected when you book your session online (see the Book Your Session button below).
Q: Does the session fee include any digital files or print products?
A: It does not. High resolution digital files can be purchased separately for $50 each through the online gallery you'll receive.
Q: Will anyone contact me to go over details and tell me where to go?
A: Absolutely! We will be in touch shortly after you book the session to find out more about your pup(s), how to prepare, and all the things you'll need to know!
Q: How many images will I get in my gallery to choose from?
A: As many great ones as we can get during your session!
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Because of the limited number of sessions available and our desire to raise as much as we can for Save the Giants, we ask that you only cancel in the event that you have a serious conflict or matter to attend to. If you cancel within 48 hours of the session, you will receive a 50% refund of the session fee. Remember, your fee goes to a great cause!
Worried your dog won't behave?
Hey, being a dog is full of excitement with new people, smells, noises, and the thrill of chasing squirrels! If you're concerned, it's advisable to keep them on a leash during their session to prevent any mischief. But fear not – Photoshop works like magic!
