We always begin working with every client with the end product in mind. Starting the portrait process means looking at what the end result will be, first. Where do you plan to display your portraits? What does your home design look like? What colors are you drawn to? Asking these questions at the start always results in an incredible session that gives you exactly what you dreamed of - a printed photographic treasure that defines your love story, and graces your walls with intention.

PLANNING CONSULTATION
We'll get together to plan your perfect session and talk about how you intend to display your images. We'll discuss location and session ideas, clothing choices, and tips to make things go as smoothly as possible on your special day.
PORTRAIT SESSION
We'll meet either at the studio, a special outdoor location, or your home. Outdoor sessions always take place during that beautiful golden hour shortly before sunset.
ORDERING APPOINTMENT
You'll come to our studio to view the images from your session and select your favorites for your home. Wall portraits, table top products, albums and books - all are archival quality artwork that will last a lifetime.
Our selection includes custom albums as well as solitaire wall portrait products, including fine art framed pieces hand made in Italy, premium gallery wrapped canvas, and contemporary metal artwork for a sleek, modern look. You'll also love our wall portrait sets and table top products!
The session fee covers our time at the session and a private viewing/ordering appointment at our home studio. It does not include any print or digital products.
The session fee is non-refundable. However, it can be used towards a future session within 6 months if you choose to cancel. The average client invests between $800 - $2500 in finished products.
___________
___________
The product pricing structure encourages clients to invest in printed art, as it is what's valued as the end result of your session, and the reason you would commission us. It's critical to remember that digital files are not a permanent way to archive your memories, as they are fragile and may not last, and hectic lives usually prevent people from printing their images from their digital negatives.
So while we do offer digital files, we will also print your art pieces. After all, why invest in professional portraiture if your images will sit indefinitely on a USB drive in a drawer? Print. It's worth it.

Knowing how much they enjoy the photos from their own session, many past clients inquire as to how they can purchase gift certificates for friends and family.
Gift certificates can be purchased in any amount of $250 or more. CONTACT US for details so we can get your favorite people hooked up!
We're always happy to answer any questions, but here are some that come up most frequently. Have more questions? Feel free to contact us anytime!
Q: My dog is a spaz and is very unruly. Can you still do a session with her?
A: We suggest to clients that have high energy dogs to take them for a long walk shortly before the session. Dogs with this much energy will still be happy and active for their session, but will most likely be calm enough to get some great shots that require them to sit still – even if for brief periods of time.
Q: I’d like to do the session at a public place but my dog needs to stay on a leash. Can you edit out the leash?
A: We understand that some pets, especially cats, need to be leash-bound most of the time when they are not confined by a fence. We always say it's better to be safe than sorry and keep the pet on a leash if needed, and yes - it can be edited out!
Q: Can my family and I be in the photos as well?
A: Of course! We encourage pet families to participate so we can capture the bond between you and your fur babies.
Q: If my family and I are in the photos, what the heck do we wear?
A: Not to worry - we will discuss that at your planning consultation and you'll look wonderful! See the last question for preparation tips.
Q: How much can I expect to spend on my session?
A: That depends on how many of the images you fall in love with and how you choose to display them. Most clients invest anywhere from $800-$2500.
Q: How can I display my images?
A: Great question! Most clients choose at least one portrait to hang on the wall, and then put the rest of their favorite images in an album or portfolio box. We’ll help you select the sizes and finishes to complement your home. With any wall portrait purchase, you'll also receive the matching digital file(s), which can be used for archiving, personal printing, and sharing on social media.
Q: What if it’s raining or snowing on the day of our scheduled session?
A: If we are doing an outdoor session and the forecast calls for average to heavy rain or snow we can connect that morning and reschedule (there are no refunds for bad weather and overcast days are typically not rescheduled). However, we’ve done some really fun sessions in light snow and rain, and overcast days are great shooting weather as we don’t have to worry about finding places that keep us out of harsh lighting conditions.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: The deposit (which covers your session fee) is due at the time of booking the session to hold your place on the calendar. The session fee is not refundable in case of cancellation, except in the unfortunate situation that a pet passes away or just isn't up for the session due to terminal illness.
Q: What do I need to do to prepare for my session?
A: We've got you covered!

Hey, being a dog is full of excitement with new people, smells, noises, and the thrill of chasing squirrels! If you're concerned, it's advisable to keep them on a leash during their session to prevent any mischief. But fear not – Photoshop works like magic!
